IRCDS is a voluntary development organization working to improve the lives of vulnerable communities in Tamil Nadu. For over four decades, we have promoted inclusive development through community participation, innovation, and partnerships. Our mission is to empower people to become self-reliant while ensuring social justice, environmental sustainability, and equal opportunities for all.
WHO WE ARE
IRCDS (Integrated Rural Community Development Society) is a voluntary development organization established in 1977 and working to empower vulnerable and rural communities in Tamil Nadu. We promote inclusive development through community participation, partnerships, and sustainable solutions that create lasting social and economic change.
WHAT WE DO
IRCDS works across key areas including child protection, sustainable livelihoods, women empowerment, education and youth development, health and nutrition, and climate action. We strengthen communities, support small and marginal farmers, promote women's economic empowerment, protect children, and build climate-resilient livelihoods.
Our approach focuses on community participation, capacity building, government convergence, and sustainable development, helping people and local institutions become stronger and more self-reliant.
